World Forestry Day 2023 Activities

We can plan many activities on this day and contribute to saving our forests. I have a few ideas in my mind to share with you. So, I put down my thoughts here. So, friends, please take some time and let us know what activities can included in this World Forestry Day 2023.

  1. We can plant a few plants and encourage our family and friends to do the same as part of our initiation to protect our forests.
  2. Essay writing and elocution competition can conducted in schools and colleges so that the children can learn about the importance of forests in our lives.
  3. Painting competitions, poetry, and anything that can talk about the beauty of forests can considered competition.
  4. We can spread the message of saving our forests on social media and educate people with much information.
  5. TV and radio can also come forward and educate people about how our forests are important and how it is everyone’s responsibility to save them.
  6. We can go on a tour of forest areas, and we can spend some time with nature.
  7. We can call people from forest departments and can conduct guest lecturers so that people can understand the concept better.
  8. We can gift a plant to everyone in our neighbourhood.
  9. An exhibition can organized where all the important and precious things we get from our forests can shown to people.
  10. We can collect some money and distribute T-Shirts with the slogan of protecting our forests.
  11. Industrial trips can also made to the forests every year.

As our elders say, better late than never, so let us realize early how many trees we have already cut from our forests and how it has already affected Mother earth in many ways. Rather than thinking about gifting properties, let us gift the best health and life to the next generation.

It may not be possible for everyone to come forward and do something every day but atleast once in a while, we can initiate and do our best to protect our forests. When we come forward and do something, then automatically, we can see that many others would also come forward to join the hands and become part of our important mission.

The topics the kids study in their Social and Science books let them experience it. Let us see with a small initiative. I am going to do that: I would gift a plant on every birthday of my family member each year and tell them that it is their responsibility to take care of it.
