In 2020, Nirav Modi found guilty of money laundering and cheating by a special court in Mumbai. And sentenced to a total of 11 years in prison and a fine of Rs. 2 billion. However, as he arrested in London, he sentenced in absentia. And the Indian government is still trying to extradite him to India.
