Did you know that you can combine your favorite holiday and evening activity into one fun haunted night out? A bar crawl around Halloween in Chicago will allow you to experience some of the amazing drinks this city has to offer, all while getting into the Halloween spirit! You can experience some haunted revelry in Chicago by going on a bar crawl to the establishments listed below.

Gold Star Bar

Many patrons visit this bar around Halloween because it’s supposed to be haunted. The former owner shot a man who tried to rob him. Supposedly, the spirit of the man still haunts the bar.

The Gold Star Bar is also a great place to go if you want to get the Chicago bar experience without spending a lot of money. They offer a variety of inexpensive drinks and beer to choose from, and you can also play pool for free. They have live music, and if you don’t want to leave your precious pooch at home during your night out on the town, they also allow dogs.

Guthrie’s Tavern

If you are looking for a fun place to go on a bar crawl that will bring the kid out in you, this is the bar to go to. Customers can play board games while enjoying a drink or two. However, the deceased alcoholic owner is said to haunt this bar, so don’t be surprised if a ghostly guest joins you during one of your games.

Guthrie’s Tavern is a beer lover’s paradise because they have bottled and draft beer on tap. Popular choices include Half Acre Daisy Cutter, Spiteful Bleacher Bum and Begyle Blonde.

Mother Hubbard’s Pub

Your journey begins at Mother Hubbard’s Pub, a historic establishment that sets the tone for your Halloween bar crawl in Chicago. With its eerie ambiance and dark wooden interiors, Mother Hubbard’s Pub becomes the perfect starting point for your haunted revelry. The bartenders, dressed in spooky costumes, serve up concoctions that send shivers down your spine. It’s not just a pub; it’s a portal to the supernatural, where the spirits of Halloween come alive. The haunted tales whispered among the patrons add an extra layer of thrill to the night.

This makes it a great place to start or end your Halloween bar crawl in Chicago.

The Hangge-Uppe

Many people come for the drinks but stay for the dancing. If you want to visit this bar, you should plan on arriving early because there’s often a line to get in. Also, if you are interested in seeing a fun ghost, you won’t be disappointed! Patrons and employees have reported seeing a ghostly woman living it up on the dance floor late at night.

Liar’s Club

This is one of the spookiest bars in Chicago. This isn’t surprising because it does have a pretty seedy past. Someone with a glass bottle killed an older man, and a young woman was killed with an ax.

Despite all this, the Liar’s Club is known for its great bands and friendly staff. No matter what type of drink you’re in the mood for, the bartenders can create it. If you get hungry, there’s often a food truck outside where you can grab a bite to eat.

The Red Lion Pub

If you are wanting to visit a bar with a lot of history, the Red Lion Pub is worth checking out. It first opened in 1882 and used to be a gambling hall. With all of its interesting drinks comes a shady past. It is said to be haunted by a man who was killed there over a gambling debt he owned.

One of the things that sets this bar apart from the others in Chicago is that it serves food. Popular options include poutine, corned beef sandwiches, fish and chips, bangers and mash and curry fries. They also serve brunch on Sundays, so you can easily satisfy your cravings after a long Saturday night out on the town.

If you are looking to have a bit of Halloween fun with some drinks to go with it, you should visit some of the bars mentioned above. With their rich history and paranormal patrons, you will surely have some interesting experiences that you surely won’t forget!
